A purse in the making

This is our second attempt at making a purse for DD#2. The first was knit, then deemed too small so this is version two.

I had already bought the fabric for purse #1, and she liked it, so I suggested that she dye yarn to match for the next try. (This would be a good point to show you the fabric, but I forgot to take a picture and too sleepy (lazy) to go do that now.....)

She loved that idea, so this is what we came up with.

She knit a rectangle on my knitting machine and let it rest. Too small, so tried again. This time was good.

Next was my part: Making the i-cord. And sewing the seams.

It needs to be washed, dried, and then the lining will be put in.

Stay tuned!
